Import requirements vary by destination market, so the first job is not simply choosing the lowest unit price. Buyers should define the vehicle specification, intended market and commercial requirements before confirming an order.
1. Define the product specification
Start with the motor power, target speed, battery requirements, controller, tires, braking system and any accessories you need. If you are comparing several models, send the supplier the product numbers and expected quantity for each model.
2. Check destination-market requirements
Before production, confirm the regulations, registration rules, testing and documentation required in the destination country. Requirements can differ by vehicle category and market. The importer should verify the applicable local rules before shipment rather than assuming one specification is suitable everywhere.
3. Decide whether to order samples
A sample order can help a buyer evaluate appearance, riding characteristics, component configuration and local market response before committing to a larger quantity. For a bulk order, confirm whether the final production specification will match the approved sample.
4. Compare quotations on the same basis
When comparing suppliers, make sure quotations cover the same motor, battery, controller, tires, brakes, packaging and trade terms. A lower quoted price may reflect a different configuration.
5. Confirm OEM and private-label requirements
If you need your own branding, provide the logo files and identify where branding should appear. Other configuration changes should also be confirmed before production. See our OEM & ODM service overview.
6. Confirm packaging, loading and shipping preparation
Packaging method and container loading quantity affect landed cost. Ask for the packing method and estimated loading quantity for the selected models, then coordinate the shipping plan with your freight forwarder or logistics provider.
7. Put the commercial terms in writing
Before paying a deposit, confirm the final specification, quantity, unit price, trade term, production arrangement, payment terms and shipping documents in the sales contract or proforma invoice.
Send us the model numbers, quantity, destination market and required configuration. We can then discuss the suitable specification and quotation.
